Jakarta [UNAS] – Dr. V. Vekky R. Repi and Agung Iswadi, researchers from C-SERM Universitas Nasional, attended the Newton Fund Workshop entitled Science Communicator Workshop for Researchers which was held on Wednesday, 28th September 2016 at Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) Gatot Subroto. Thirty selected researchers from all around Indonesia were attended the workshop. The workshop speakers were Alan West MBE, MSc, BEd, MIoD and Gerard Hughes.
This workshop was jointly held by The Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), The British Council, and Newton Fund. Through the Science Communication Workshop for Researchers, Indonesian researchers will be able to understand how to communicate their research to wider audience and make the research beneficial to wider audience; how to contribute to a research translation; tips on Science Journalism; translating of Researchers’ work into suitable lessons for different audiences; and rational of Public Engagement and Science Communication.
