Site Visit to UPT BPPTK Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI), Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta, 7 – 8 February 2015
To further expand networks for collaborative projects, CSERM UNAS and CUSP RGU conducted a site visit to one of LIPI research centres located in GunungKidul Yogyakarta. For many years, LIPI UPT BPPTK has mentored several Small-to-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Gunung Kidul to upgrade and/or upscale processes and energy efficiency management in their businesses. One of aims of the visit was to enable direct observation and knowledge exchange with local actors that have engaged (at different levels) with decentralised sustainable energy initiatives. The SMEs included during the visit were: Koperasi Tahu Tempe Indonesia (KOPTI) Wonosari, UKM Sari Murni Dele Cap Bintang Sumbermulyo, Gabungan Kelompok Tani (Gapoktan) Kumpul Makaryo, and Kelompok Ternak Kambing Peranakan Etawa Purabaya.
